About Me

Hey my name is Jaime Fuerte. I am from Goose Creek, SC, which is about 15 minutes outside of Charleston. I'm majoring in Accounting, and hope to either manage the finances of my family's business or work for an accountant I interned with over the summer. I'm Hispanic (half Mexican, and half Costa Rican), and I have a big family.

My hobbies consist of playing basketball and racquetball. I also like to go to Lake Hartwell on the weekends with friends and jumping off the 30 foot cliffs :). I'm also very big on cooking. I like to watch people cook, and learn new things from watching them

That's awesome that you love to cook! What are your specialties? (I'm specifically looking for vegetarian recipes at the moment; I have an fantastic black beans and rice recipe that I've been using a lot, but I need to come up with some new stuff because my family's getting bored with that one.)

Well, my "signature plate" is this steak that I slow cook with chopped onions, peppers, tomatoes, and other various spices, but that doesn't help you much does it haha.
However, I do make this really good soup type dish(its a little thicker than normal soup) where I cook some navy beans in water with a ham hock(adds a really good flavor), cilantro, onions, yellow squash, and tomatoes for about an hour and a half to two hours.

Oh, and I usually make white rice on the side to put in the soup when its ready
